WORK EXPERIENCE


Freelance Reporter and Photojournalist, New York, NY                          Sept. 2018-Present

Photography and written work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, American Heritage Magazine, The Juggernaut and Bklyner. Most recent work includes a feature on dark tourism in Lithuania, and series of video interviews with current and formerly incarcerated artists. Produced, and reported the EPPY Award nominated Ladies Luck’ for NYC News Service, a special report on female gamblers in New York. Stories include: a piece on a wrongly-convicted man running a half marathon after his release; coverage of a vigil for victims of Easter bombing in Sri Lanka, and a profile of the man who discovered an abandoned 140-year-old subway tunnel in NYC. 


Morocco World News, Rabat, Morocco                                                                 May – Aug. 2019

Reporter and Photographer for Morocco World News, covering local and regional news. Aggregation, originally reported articles and photography, including: a piece on the impact of closed international borders on the local butcher trade, an interview with the rock band Mashrou’ Leila, and a profile of a man who has sold cassettes in the heart of the ancient medina of Fez for almost 50 years.


Buck Design, Inc., New York, NY                                                                     April 2012–Aug. 2017 Producer (Feb. 2014–Aug. 2017)

Worked in a high-pressure environment, often under tight deadlines. Managed teams of two to 25 artists for projects from pitch through delivery. Created schedules and negotiated budgets ranging from $3000 to over $1 million. Communicated with agencies and clients. Videos appeared on company websites, television and online. Projects included Google (Palette Perfect explainer), Charity Water (Why Water?) , Memorial Sloan Kettering (More Science. Less Fear. campaign), and MTV (Infographica series for 2016 elections). Handled logistics for live action shoots, negotiated budgets and assembled job-specific live action crews of up to 20 people. Communicated with clients throughout the duration of individual jobs, providing clear and succinct, relevant information necessary to ensure the success of the project. Reported status updates at bi-weekly internal meetings with management and creatives.
